Mattoon Hit-Men Baseball was formed to give kids the opportunity to push themselves, athletically, to become the best baseball players they can be. Our goal is to give the kids the tools needed to sharpen their baseball skills and IQ.

We prioritize development of each player over winning. We do not expect perfection, but we do expect sportsmanship, hustle, team work, and commitment. Baseball doesn’t build character, it reveals it. We are equipping young boys to become great young men through the game of baseball.

Our purpose and mission is to give the young men instructional guidance and experience in playing baseball at a higher level of competition. In order to do this, the Hit-Men sends its teams to tournaments in the state of Illinois and schedules games with teams in Central Illinois. The emphasis is always on sportsmanship, character, skill development, and fun, over winning. We also feel to compete with the best you must play the best and sometimes this means learning the hard way or as some people call it, losing a few games. Win or lose, our coaches are committed to the program and assisting your son into becoming a better baseball player.
